Artist’s Statement

In Ireland, nature and history rarely stand apart—they are layered, inseparable, speaking across centuries in a shared voice. Along the banks of the Cong River, tranquil waters mirror a landscape rich with green vitality, while beside them rest the weathered remains of an earlier age. The river continues as it always has—moving with quiet certainty toward destinations it somehow knows—while the stone lingers, holding memories of an earlier time.

This piece is an invitation to consider time not as a single current, but as many: the present a ripple of water passing by enduring past in the worn texture of stone. There is a subtle tension here between motion and permanence, between forgetting and remembering.
