Artist’s Statement:

This orchid feels as if it has crossed over from a brighter world. Petals glow in layered tones of citrus and honey, their surfaces alive with fine freckling and delicate striations that carry warmth across each curve. The pairing creates a visual rhythm—one bloom rising, the other answering—an exchange of energy held in elegant balance.

Against the white field, there is lift. The composition breathes. Negative space becomes part of the movement, allowing the forms to feel unbound, almost weightless. Yet within that lightness, the color remains vivid, grounded in its own intensity. It’s a duet not of softness alone, but of presence—two voices in harmony, clear and unmistakable.
