Artist’s Statement:

There is no audience for this kind of love. No applause, no recognition—only the act itself.  The praying mantis, long a symbol of both devotion and destruction, embodies a paradox that feels deeply human: to love is, at times, to give beyond comfort, beyond certainty, even beyond self. 

The mantis, framed in soft earth tones, becomes an emblem of giving in its purest form–the unseen sacrifice defined not by what is taken, but by what is given.​  The sepia tones strip away distraction, leaving behind the understanding that love, in its most profound expressions, involves transformation.

Here, sacrifice is not framed as loss, but as an offering—one that reshapes both the giver and the bond itself.
