Artist’s Statement:

Captured at night, this art explores the shadows.  The monochrome palette seems right for delicate beauty of a moth resting against textured wood.  The intricate details of the moth's powdery wings ticked against rough wood, highlight nature's contrasts of fragility and strength.  The luna moth, pale and weightless, does not stand apart from its surroundings but instead becomes part of them—blending into the textured bark as if it belongs to both worlds at once. This image explores contrast not as opposition, but as coexistence: softness within roughness, visibility within concealment. What is hidden here is not lost, but protected—held in a delicate balance between revelation and restraint.
