Title: Summer Softens
Subtitle: Where color lingers as the season begins to let go
Reference: Pink coneflower garden photography, echinacea bloom with bee, late summer to autumn transition, fading petals and seed heads, nature fine art floral print
Artist’s Statement:
In this gathering of coneflowers, time is layered rather than linear. Some blooms are open and radiant, their petals still reaching outward with quiet confidence. Others have begun to curl and darken, their forms collapsing inward as they yield to the inevitable shift of season. At the center of it all, a bee moves with purpose—unconcerned with endings, drawn only to what still offers life.
This image lives in that delicate threshold where beauty is no longer pristine, yet somehow more complete. The contrast between bloom and decay is not a contradiction, but a conversation—one that speaks to continuity, resilience, and the quiet dignity of change. Nothing here is lost; it is simply becoming something else.
