As the sun descends, the canyon ignites. It's walls burn like a living forge, holding the last fire of the day. What lingers is passage, a reckoning.

Artist’s Statement:
At dusk, the Grand Canyon becomes something older than memory. It is a vast altar of stone where days are recorded in the slow passage of shadow and light. The cliffs faces are ignited by the final blaze of the sun. This is no gentle ending. It is a passage through fire, a moment when the earth itself burns with purpose.
Across the canyon, immense pillars stand beneath a sky suspended between warmth and darkness. Their fractured faces carry the colors of creation: deep crimson, copper, and the dark embers of a dying sun. Beyond them, the desert stretches toward a distant horizon, its ancient contours fading into the blue of approaching night.
There is a rhythm here that reaches far beyond the human measure of time. The canyon has witnessed the emergence of continents, the ebb and flow oceans, the passage of countless seasons, and the patient erosion of mountains. Each sunset is another brief illumination of a story written across epochs.
The final light gathers upon the highest stone, while the depths surrender to shadow. For an instant, the landscape stands between two worlds, one departing and another waiting to emerge.
There is myth written in light and stone, in cycles that do not end. The day is suspended briefly between brilliance and darkness, where endings are beginnings in disguise.
