Few birds are more majestic than the Great Blue Heron taking flight. There is no hesitation here—only response. Each position of the bird traces a phase of commitment: grounded awareness, the first lift, full ascent. The repeated form transforms the heron into both subject and narrative, revealing what the eye alone cannot hold in real time.

This image is not a gathering, but a continuum. A single Great Blue Heron appears multiple times within the frame, its takeoff unfolding as a time-lapse sequence compressed into one visual field. What might first read as interaction is instead a study of motion—an elegant mapping of motion.
