Artist’s Statement:

No restraint here... The lily bursts open with a kind of reckless joy—petals flung wide, colors turned all the way up. Saturated reds blaze with heat.  Gold flares from the center, pushing energy outward through every reaching filament.

Its audacious, this level of exuberance. The bloom refuses any moderation, choosing to experience everything, all at once. The golden stamens explode outward like fireworks, grasping–wanting more—more light–more air–more life.

This is rare intensity–life lived at the edge.  Many dream of living there.  Only a few will actually experince it.
