Title: A Memory of Summer
Subtitle: Paused in its journey, a lone leaf rests on a cobblestone path.
Reference: autumn leaf cobblestone stillness texture minimalist photography earth tones contemplative fine art urban nature
Artist’s Statement:
A single autumn leaf pauses briefly on worn stone. The cobblestones beneath, shaped by time and passage, carry the weight of permanence, while the leaf holds only the briefest presence.
Muted earth tones soften the scene, allowing texture and subtle contrast to speak. The worn and weathered surface of stone is an accumultion of ancient and recent memory. In contrast, the leaf feels immediate and fragile, a fleeting gesture against something far more enduring.
This photograph does not demand attention but rewards it. On a wall it offers a place where the mind can settle. In its simplicity, it reflects a deeper rhythm—the varied scales of time, the unnoticed pauses, and the brief intersections that matter.
